The Edgecore EPS122 emerges as a cost-effective yet powerful Gigabit Ethernet L2 PoE switch, boasting a total of 54 ports designed to meet the demanding needs of modern enterprise and campus access networks. Among these ports, 48 x 10/100/1000BASE-T ports and 6 x 1G/10G SFP+ uplink ports offer versatile connectivity options, catering to a wide range of devices and applications. One of the standout features of the EPS122 lies in its Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) capabilities. Ports 1 to 40 fully support IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3bt PoE standards, delivering up to 30 W of power per port, while ports 41 to 48 support IEEE 802.3at and IEEE 802.3bt Type 4, providing up to 90 W per port. This enables the switch to power a variety of devices, including VoIP phones, wireless access points, surveillance cameras, and more, leveraging the existing Cat. 5/5e/6 cable infrastructure to its fullest potential. Ideal for deployment as an access PoE switch in enterprise or campus networks, the EPS122 incorporates redundant, hot-swappable AC Power Supply Units (PSUs) and fixed 2+1 redundant fans with port-to-power airflow, ensuring reliability and continuous operation. Additionally, the switch is equipped with advanced features such as the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), facilitating the installation of compatible network operating system (NOS) software, including both open-source and commercial options, to suit diverse networking requirements.

Key highlights of the EPS122 include its easy-to-use design, fully utilizing existing cable infrastructure, and providing seamless integration with security devices, Wi-Fi access points, IP phones, and IP cameras. With a powerful Intel® Atom® COMe module featuring a C3508 4-Core 1.6GHz x86 processor, the switch delivers robust performance for demanding networking tasks. Moreover, the EPS122 offers advanced security features such as TPM 2.0 support with SPI Interface and options to enable UEFI Secure Boot, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of network operations. With full line-rate L2/L3 forwarding and switching capabilities, hot-swappable, load-sharing redundant AC PSUs, and fixed 2+1 redundant fans, the EPS122 guarantees optimal performance, reliability, and scalability for enterprise and campus access networks.
