The COR550 is a high-performance 100GbE disaggregated core router designed with Broadcom StrataDNX Jericho2 silicon. It features 40 fixed 100GE QSFP28 network interfaces and 13 x 400GE QSFP-DD fabric interfaces within a 2RU form factor. When interconnected with the Edgecore AS9926-24D (Ramon), the COR550 forms a distributed chassis architecture, enabling a scalable and flexible network infrastructure with high throughput bandwidth for routing, packet processing, and efficient traffic management. This open network switch comes pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), supporting the installation of compatible Network Operating System (NOS) software, including the open-source Open Network Linux and various commercial NOS options.

Key features and benefits include high-performance capabilities for telecom and data center applications, integration of Broadcom StrataDNX Jericho2 silicon for non-blocking line-rate performance, and high-capacity external TCAM for expandable table sizes and statistics. It consists of 40 x 100G QSFP28 and 13 x 400G QSFP-DD fabric interfaces, supports front-to-back airflow SKU with a carrier-grade fan filter, and features hot-swappable, load-sharing, and 1+1 redundant DC-DC/AC-DC power supply units. Additionally, it has 4+1 redundant, hot-swappable fan modules, supports Synchronous Ethernet, IEEE 1588v2 PTP, and timing synchronization stack interfaces, and has a compact design with a depth of 635 mm and an operating temperature of up to 55°C.

Applications for the COR550 include serving as a disaggregated core and edge router, as well as a standalone 100GbE aggregation core router.
