This 2RU compact design, equipped with an External BCM16K Lookup Engine, can be deployed as either a disaggregated or standalone router.
The BCM16K Knowledge-Based Processor (KBP) enhances high-speed operations on large-rule databases, making the AGR420 suitable for various telecommunications applications. It provides network awareness, real-time routing modifications, and updates, ideal for packet classification, policy enforcement, and forwarding.
Engineered with the latest Broadcom StrataDNX Qumran2C silicon and an external lookup engine, the AGR420 targets use cases such as OpenBNG, 25G pre-aggregation routing, PE routing, or serving as a data center TOR switch/router. This open networking router is pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), supporting the installation of compatible Network Operating System (NOS) software, including the open-source Open Network Linux (ONL) and various commercial NOS options.
Key features and benefits include high performance for telecom and data center applications, integration of Broadcom StrataDNX Qumran2C silicon, and an integrated BCM16K External Lookup Table for expansion. It supports front-to-back airflow SKUs and has hot-swappable, load-sharing, and 1+1 redundant DC-DC/AC-DC power supply units, along with 4+1 redundant, hot-swappable fan modules. The AGR420 also supports Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE) and IEEE 1588v2 Precision Time Protocol (PTP).
Applications for the AGR420 include functioning as a disaggregated edge, PE, or pre-aggregation router, serving as a standalone 25GbE aggregation router, and operating as a Virtual Broadband Gateway (vBNG).
IP Infusion’s OcNOS Service Provider is a comprehensive Network Operating System (NOS) designed to meet the diverse needs of modern service providers. Built on a robust, scalable platform, OcNOS Service Provider enables seamless integration across various network environments, from legacy systems to cutting-edge infrastructures. It is particularly well-suited for key network elements such as Cell Site Routers (CSR) and Aggregation Routers (AGGR).
The OcNOS Cell Site Router (CSR) solution is optimized for cost-efficient deployment in 4G and 5G networks, providing robust backhaul support that meets the demanding requirements of mobile infrastructure. Fully compliant with the Telecom Infra Project’s (TIP) Disaggregated Cell Site Gateway (DCSG) specifications, the CSR product line offers extensive support for segment routing, Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), and precise timing mechanisms, enabling reliable service delivery across a variety of cell site gateway platforms with switching capacities of up to 360 Gbps.
On the other hand, the OcNOS Aggregation Router (AGGR) is designed to efficiently aggregate traffic across large-scale networks, handling bandwidths of up to 14.4 Tbps. The AGGR product line supports both traditional and next-generation transport services, including MPLS, Virtual Extensible LAN (VxLAN), and Segment Routing (SR). This makes it an ideal solution for service providers looking to modernize their infrastructure while maintaining compatibility with legacy services like Layer 2/Layer 3 VPNs.
Together, these products offer service providers the flexibility, scalability, and efficiency needed to deploy and manage advanced network services in a rapidly evolving landscape. Whether used for cell site routing, carrier aggregation, or core network functions, OcNOS provides a proven, open standards-based solution that integrates seamlessly with existing deployments, reducing costs and accelerating service delivery.
Key Benefits:
- Scalability: Supports network speeds from 120 Gbps to 14.4 Tbps, making it ideal for both small and large-scale deployments, with CSR focusing on up to 360 Gbps and AGGR on up to 14.4 Tbps.
- Flexibility: Compatible with a wide range of white-box hardware platforms, offering service providers the freedom to choose best-in-class solutions without vendor lock-in. CSR platforms include several ODM platforms like Edgecore and UfiSpace with varied capacities
- Efficiency: Simplifies network operations and reduces Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) with features like Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and programmable APIs, available in both CSR and AGGR
Highlights:
- Carrier-Grade Performance: Trusted by leading service providers for critical applications, from cell site routing to high-density aggregation. CSR is particularly notable for its TIP DCSG compliance, while AGGR is optimized for large-scale traffic aggregation.
