This high-performance 400Gb Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable-double density (QSFP-DD) optical module is meticulously crafted for 2km optical communication applications. Its functionality is impressive: the module efficiently converts 8 channels of 50Gb (PAM4) electrical input data into 4 channels of CWDM optical signals, expertly multiplexing them into a single channel for 400Gb optical transmission. Conversely, on the receiving end, the module optically de-multiplexes a 400Gb optical input into 4 channels of CWDM optical signals, subsequently converting them into 8 channels of 50Gb (PAM4) electrical output data.
The central wavelengths of the 4 CWDM channels adhere to the CWDM wavelength grid defined in ITU-T G.694.2, ensuring optimal performance. Equipped with a duplex LC connector for the optical interface and a 76-pin connector for the electrical interface, this module is engineered to facilitate seamless connectivity. Employing single-mode fiber (SMF) is essential to minimize optical dispersion in long-haul systems, while host FEC support is required to sustain up to 2km fiber transmission.
Aligned with the QSFP-DD Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Type 2 specifications, this product features a carefully designed form factor, optical/electrical connections, and a digital diagnostic interface. Engineered to withstand the harshest external operating conditions, including temperature variations, humidity, and EMI interference, it ensures reliability and resilience in demanding environments.
