With its provision of full line-rate switching capabilities at both Layer 2 and Layer 3 across 48 x 10 GbE ports, the EPS300 stands as a versatile and powerful component of data center infrastructures.
Designed for deployment as a Top-of-Rack switch, the EPS300 is rack-mountable in standard 19-inch racks, facilitating seamless integration into existing data center environments. Its hardware architecture is engineered to deliver the high availability necessary for uninterrupted data center operations, boasting 4+1 fixed redundant fans and dual redundant, load-sharing AC power supplies.
Key features of the EPS300 include its cost-effectiveness, providing an open network switch infrastructure ideally suited for data center fabric deployments. With 48 x SFP+ switch ports supporting both 10 GbE and 1 GbE connections, the switch offers flexibility in connectivity options to accommodate various networking requirements.
The EPS300 prioritizes ease of use and maintenance, with all ports conveniently located on the front panel, while the power supplies and fans are situated at the rear. Additionally, it supports front-to-back airflow, ensuring efficient cooling within the rack enclosure.
Management of the EPS300 is facilitated through Ethernet and console RJ-45 ports, along with a USB storage port for added convenience. Furthermore, the hardware switch comes pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), streamlining the installation process and enabling seamless deployment of compatible network operating systems.
