The Edgecore AGR100 switch is designed to meet the high-performance, availability, and network-scaling needs of cloud data centers and carrier access providers. It supports Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching across 48 x 10 GbE ports and 6 x 100 G uplinks, making it versatile for deployment as a top-of-rack switch, part of a 100 GbE or 40 GbE distributed spine to create a non-blocking folded-Clos data center fabric, or as a carrier access/aggregation switch. The switch is rack-mountable in a standard 19-inch rack and includes high-availability features such as redundant, hot-swappable AC or -48 VDC power supply units (PSUs), 5+1 redundant fan modules, and options for front-to-back or back-to-front airflow. It is a cost-effective solution for data center top-of-rack and carrier access/aggregation switching, with 48 SFP+ switch ports supporting 10 GbE or 1 GbE, and 6 x 100G QSFP28 ports on the front. The switch is pre-loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) for automated loading of compatible open source and commercial Network Operating System (NOS) offerings and is compatible with Open Network Linux (ONL). Management options include Ethernet and console RJ-45 ports, along with hot-swappable, load-sharing, redundant PSUs and 5+1 redundant fan modules.
