Switch2Open 40G QSFP+ Transceiver Module not only delivers high-performance data transmission over a distance of up to 100m, designed to be highly versatile and compatible with a wide range of communication standards, protocols, and frequency bands, making it a truly Universal Transceiver. 40GBASE-SR4 refers to an Ethernet standard that allows high-speed data transmission over short distances using multimode fiber optic cables. The “40GBASE” prefix indicates a data rate of 40 Gbps, while “SR4” stands for Short Range on eight fibers (four for sending data and four for receiving data) to achieve the 40 Gbps data rate. Operating on a 4 x 850nm wavelength via duplex LC multimode fiber (MMF), this transceiver ensures consistent and reliable communication. Compliant with protocols QSFP+ MSA, IEEE 802.3ba 40GBASE-SR4, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU4 it accommodates a wide variety of network demands.
