Switch2Open 100G QSFP28 Transceiver Module not only delivers high-performance data transmission over a distance of up to 40km, designed to be highly versatile and compatible with a wide range of communication standards, protocols, and frequency bands, making it a truly Universal Transceiver. OTU4 (Optical Transport Unit 4) is a high-speed optical network standard defined by the ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector). It operates at a data rate of 112 gigabits per second (Gbps) and is part of the OTN (Optical Transport Network) framework. An OTU4 transceiver is an optical module that conforms to the OTU4 standard. It is used in high-capacity optical communication systems, especially in long-haul and metro networks, to transmit and receive data at extremely high speeds. OTU4 transceivers typically use coherent optical technology, enabling them to achieve reliable data transmission over long distances without significant signal degradation. These transceivers are critical components in modern optical networks, allowing for the efficient transport of large volumes of data over fiber optic infrastructure. OTU4 transceivers are often used in applications where high bandwidth, long-distance communication, and reliable data transmission are essential, such as in telecommunications, data centers, and internet service provider (ISP) networks.
