The Edgecore DCS240 stands as a robust spine switch tailored for high-performing data centers. This switch ensures seamless L2 and L3 switching across its 32 QSFP56-DD ports, offering flexible configurations such as 1 x 400 Gb or 1 x 100 Gb per port, or, through breakout cables, 2 x 200Gb, 4 x 100 Gb, or 4 x 25 Gb options. Designed to serve as a spine switch accommodating 100/400 Gb spine interconnects, it provides versatility and efficiency in data center operations. This open network switch comes equipped with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), facilitating the installation of compatible Network Operating System software, including both open source and commercial NOS offerings.

Key features include cost-effectiveness, Broadcom Trident 4 switch series silicon for non-blocking line-rate performance, and a compact 1 RU form factor. The switch supports hot/cold aisles with front-to-back and back-to-front airflow SKUs, ensuring optimal cooling efficiency. Moreover, its design allows for ease of maintenance with all ports located on the front and PSUs and fans accessible from the rear. The DCS240 is equipped with hot-swappable, load-sharing, redundant 1500 W PSUs, as well as 5+1 redundant, hot-swappable fan modules, enhancing reliability and minimizing downtime. With its hardware pre-loaded with ONIE, the switch offers automated loading of compatible open source and commercial NOS offerings, streamlining deployment and operation processes.
