Edgecore Networks COR580 (AS9926-24D/AS9926-24DB) | 400G Fabric Router

The Edgecore COR580 is a high-performance fabric switch designed for carrier, data center, or transport networking applications. This switch features a 1RU form factor with Broadcom StrataDNX family SoC silicon and includes 24 x 400GE QSFP-DD Fabric Interfaces (FIF). When interconnected with the Edgecore COR550 (Jericho2 Leaf), the COR580 can be deployed in a spine and leaf architecture, supporting up to 24 COR550 leaf interconnections. This configuration forms a complete solution that enables scalable and flexible core network infrastructures, providing a total of 96 Tbps bandwidth for routing, packet processing, and efficient traffic management.

The COR580 is equipped with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), which supports the installation of compatible Network Operating System software, including open source options like Open Network Linux, as well as commercial NOS offerings. It is a cost-effective, flexible, and scalable fabric switch suitable for carrier core router applications. The device includes 24 x QSFP-DD cell-based fabric ports and supports PAM4/50GE and NRZ/25GE configurations, allowing interconnections to J+/J2C devices. Utilizing Broadcom StrataDNX™ series Ramon silicon, the COR580 offers high-scale capacity and traffic management, self-routing with dynamic load balancing, and support for single-stage and three-stage fabric configurations. It also supports fabric multicast and multicast load balancing, along with three pipes for flexible allocation (e.g., TDM/OTN, unicast data, multicast data). The switch is powered by a high-performance Intel® Xeon® Broadwell-DE, 8-core CPU with integrated BMC (AS9926-24DB) and supports hot/cold aisles with front-to-back airflow SKUs, hot-swappable, load-sharing, 1+1 redundant DC-DC/AC-DC power supply units, and 5+1 redundant, hot-swappable fan modules.
