The Edgecore DCS810 switch stands out as a highly adaptable and programmable leaf or spine switch tailored for large-scale data centers. Within a compact 1RU form factor, this switch delivers robust line-rate L2 switching and L3 routing capabilities, alongside features like deep packet inspection and traffic load balancing, across its 32 QSFP-DD ports. These ports support an impressive array of connections, accommodating up to 32 x 400 GbE connections, thus ensuring unparalleled scalability and performance.
As a leaf switch, the DCS810 seamlessly supports 25/50/100 GbE connections to servers, routers, and other devices, with uplinks ranging from 100 to 400 GbE. Alternatively, it can function as a spine switch, facilitating 100/400 GbE leaf and spine interconnects, providing a versatile solution for diverse network architectures.
Powered by programmable Tofino2 switch silicon from Intel®, the DCS810 offers exceptional performance and flexibility. Its 32 QSFP-DD switch ports provide flexible connectivity options, including breakout cables for various configurations such as 400 GbE to 4 x 100 GbE, 100 GbE to 4 x 25 GbE, or 40 GbE to 4 x 10 GbE.
With a Layer 2 or Layer 3 forwarding capacity of 12.8 Tbps (25.6 Tbps full duplex), the DCS810 ensures seamless and efficient data transmission, even under the most demanding workloads. Additionally, it supports port-to-power airflow direction, optimizing cooling efficiency for sustained performance.
Engineered for reliability, the switch features hot-swappable, load-sharing redundant AC power supplies and 5+1 redundant, hot-swappable fan modules. Furthermore, it comes pre-loaded with diagnostics and the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), simplifying the installation of compatible Network Operating System (NOS) software, including open source options and commercial offerings.
