The Edgecore DCS801 switch stands as a versatile solution tailored for high-performance data centers, offering remarkable capabilities in a compact 1RU form factor. With line-rate L2 and L3 switching across its 32 QSFP28 ports, this switch supports up to 32 x 40/100 GbE connections, ensuring seamless connectivity for demanding network environments.
Whether deployed as a Top-of-Rack (TOR) switch or a spine switch, the DCS801 offers unparalleled flexibility. It can effortlessly accommodate 25/50 GbE connections to servers with uplinks ranging from 40 to 100 GbE, or serve as a spine switch for 40/50/100 GbE ToR and spine interconnects.
Powered by programmable Tofino switch silicon from Intel®, the DCS801 delivers exceptional performance and efficiency. Its 32 QSFP28 switch ports offer versatile connectivity options, including breakout cables for various configurations, such as 100 GbE to 4 x 25 GbE or 2 x 50 GbE, or 40 GbE to 4 x 10 GbE.
With a Layer 2 or Layer 3 forwarding capacity of 6.4 Tbps (full duplex), the DCS801 ensures seamless and efficient data transmission. It supports port-to-power airflow SKU, optimizing cooling efficiency for consistent performance.
Convenience and reliability are further enhanced by hot-swappable, load-sharing redundant AC PSUs and 4+1 redundant, hot-swappable fan modules. Additionally, the switch comes pre-loaded with diagnostics and the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), simplifying installation and enabling automated loading of compatible open source and commercial NOS offerings.
