Credo’s HiWire™ Low Power CLOS Active Electrical Cable (LP CLOS AEC) is a thin and energy-efficient 400G cable designed for in-rack applications in Distributed, Disaggregated Chassis (DDC) setups. It offers a Plug & Play design, consuming up to 75% less power and taking 75% less volume than DACs, allowing for high interconnect densities of up to 500 cables per rack.
The CAC4XX321D1D HiWire LP CLOS AEC is tailored for telecom and data center use, sustaining 8 lanes of 56G PAM4 signal in each direction for a bi-directional 400Gbps traffic capacity. It adopts a standard QSFP-DD type 2 form factor, complying with MSA specifications, ensuring easy use and replacement. Key features include a recognizable purple PVC jacket, 400G to 400G data rate, built-in diagnostic features, CMIS compliance, single 3.3V power supply, low power dissipation, high reliability (BER < 10^-15 post FEC), hot pluggability, RoHS2 compliance, an I2C management interface, and an operating case temperature range of 0°C to +70°C.
