This advanced 400Gb Octal Small Form-factor Pluggable (OSFP) optical module is engineered for 2km optical communication applications, featuring a sleek design without a top open fin. Its capabilities are remarkable: the module efficiently converts 4 channels of 100Gb (PAM4) electrical input data into 4 channels of parallel optical signals, each capable of 100Gb operation, resulting in a combined data rate of 400Gb. Similarly, on the receiving end, it seamlessly transforms 4 channels of parallel optical signals, each at 100Gb, into 4 channels of 100Gb (PAM4) electrical output data, maintaining the aggregate data rate at 400Gb. Utilizing an MPO-12 connector, the module’s jack accommodates a single connector with 4 channels, ensuring precise alignment via internal guide pins. Proper channel-to-channel alignment typically requires avoiding any twisting of the cable. Electrical connection is established through an OSFP MSA-compliant edge type connector, ensuring compatibility and reliability. Additionally, the product supports an I2C interface for convenient monitoring and control of its status.
