Pre-loaded with Open2Support Advanced Enterprise Base SONiC, this package offers a robust, scalable, and fully open-source Network Operating System (NOS). It enhances the switch’s capabilities, providing advanced networking features and the flexibility for customization to meet specific network requirements.

The bundle also includes a comprehensive 1, 3, or 5-year hardware warranty and software support, ensuring peace of mind and assistance.

The Edgecore DCS201 switch takes these capabilities further, engineered to fulfill the demanding requirements of enterprise and cloud data centers. It delivers high performance, availability, and network scalability, making it an ideal choice for critical environments.
With full line-rate switching capabilities at Layer 2 or Layer 3, the DCS201 features 48 x 10G ports and 6 x 100G uplinks. This versatility allows for deployment as a top-of-rack switch or as part of a 40G or 100G distributed spine, forming a non-blocking folded-Clos data center fabric. Designed to fit seamlessly into standard 19-inch racks, the DCS201 offers exceptional flexibility in deployment scenarios.

The hardware of the DCS201 is equipped with high availability features essential for uninterrupted data center operation. These include redundant, hot-swappable AC PSUs, 4+1 redundant fan modules, and the choice of front-to-back or back-to-front airflow configurations. As an ideal top-of-rack switch for virtualized data centers, the DCS201 supports VXLAN and NVGRE tunneling functions in hardware, enhancing network virtualization capabilities.

Moreover, the DCS201 is an open network switch loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), enabling effortless installation of compatible Network Operating System (NOS) software. Users have the flexibility to choose from a variety of options, including open-source solutions and commercial NOS offerings, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure and future-proofing investments.

Key features and benefits of the Edgecore DCS201 include its array of SFP+ switch ports supporting 10G or 1G connections, alongside versatile QSFP28 switch ports accommodating 100G or 4 x 25G connections. Additionally, it offers support for hot/cold aisle configurations, hot-swappable PSUs and fan modules, and multiple management interfaces, including Ethernet, console RJ-45 ports, and a USB storage port.

This Linux-based network operating system supports a wide range of switches, ensuring flexibility and interoperability. It features standard Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols and offers advanced functions like BGP and RDMA, used in large data centers.
