The CSP-7550 represents a versatile combination server-switch hardware appliance, powered by either 8- or 16-core Intel® Xeon® processors. This innovative system integrates seamlessly with a robust switch system comprising 32 QSFP28 (100 GbE) network ports, all housed within a single 2RU chassis form-factor. Built on the Intel® Xeon® Purley platform, the CSP-7550 elevates CPU capacity and performance, enhancing virtual machine consolidation and density while amplifying memory bandwidth with four channels. Its flexible design supports 8 DDR4 DIMM slots per CPU, alongside local storage options like two SATA III or PCIe slots. With its truly open hardware platform, users have the freedom to either install available operating systems and application software or craft their own customized device, ensuring a future-proof investment. The CSP-7550 further extends its capabilities with support for four open PCIe slots, enabling customers to incorporate various standard FPGA, smart NIC, AI/ML, and other PCIe cards tailored to different applications. Additionally, it offers optional FPGA card compatibility, featuring a high-speed (6x100G) connection to the Tofino 64Q chipset. Customers can opt for a SKU bundled with one or four Edgecore FPGA cards, enhancing the CSP-7550’s capacity to handle extra-large tables and service millions of HQoS sessions.

This innovative appliance serves as an ideal solution across a spectrum of applications, including load balancing (L4 and L7 network load balancer), firewall (virtualized security appliances), network visibility, performance monitoring, and mobile LTE/5G gateways (hybrid 4G/5G). Key features and benefits include dual processor sockets supporting the Intel® Xeon® processor family, flexible local storage options for optimized system performance, a comprehensive array of network switch interfaces, multiple open PCIe slots, dual redundant AC PSUs, and remote management facilitated through a Baseboard Management Controller (BMC).
