The NOS is especially suited for high-demand applications like virtualization, IoT, cloud, and AI.
The Enterprise SONiC package offers key underlay features such as eBGP, ZTP, programmatic API, QoS, and ACL for campus fabric underlay. For overlay use cases, it supports BGP EVPN and VXLAN for leaf, spine, and super-spine configurations. Additionally, enterprise features like RPVST+ and IP Multicast are included, along with telemetry features like BST Thresholds and Snapshots.
For campus-specific deployments, the Campus Package extends functionality with additional features such as PoE, PoE+, PoE++, Port Access Control (IEEE 802.1X, MAB, dynamic ACLs, RADIUS-assigned VLANs), LLDP-MED, Port Security, Digital Optical Monitoring, and Time Domain Reflectometry.
