This bundle features the Edgecore AIS800 (AIS800-64D), a high-performance spine switch designed for cloud and data center environments. It includes 2x DC Power Supply Units (PSUs) and supports both F – Front-to-Back and B – Back-to-Front airflow, ensuring optimal cooling and reliable operation in various data center configurations.
The AIS800 delivers line-rate L2 and L3 switching across its 64 QSFP-DD ports, supporting configurations of 1x 800G or breakout options for 2 x 400G or 4 x 200G. This adaptability makes it an ideal spine switch for 800G interconnects, providing flexibility for evolving network requirements.
Equipped with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), the AIS800 enables seamless installation of compatible NOS, including both open-source and commercial offerings, giving users the freedom to configure their network infrastructure.
Pre-loaded with Open2Support Advanced Enterprise Base SONiC, the switch enhances its functionality with robust, scalable networking features and customizable options to meet the specific demands of modern data centers.
Enterprise SONiC Distribution, included with the switch, provides key underlay features such as eBGP, ZTP, programmatic API, QoS, and ACL for data center fabric underlay, as well as overlay features like BGP EVPN and VXLAN for fabric overlay. Additionally, it supports RPVST+ and IP Multicast, along with telemetry features like BST Thresholds and Snapshots, making it perfect for high-demand applications such as virtualization, cloud, IoT, and AI.
With hot-swappable DC PSUs and fan modules, the AIS800 ensures high availability, supporting continuous operation in mission-critical environments. Its versatility, including support for 800G, 400G, or 200G connections, makes it suitable for various deployment scenarios, such as hot/cold aisle configurations, and seamless integration into existing data center infrastructure.
